Hi all looking for some advice I currently own a 2001 Discovery 2 TD5, it’s currently got an MSB ECU someone has a mapped TD5 Inside NNN ECU, BCM and key kit for sale, is this as easy as changing over due to it being mapped or will do you have to use nanocom to change injector codes etc?

Do you mean mapped for Eu2 engine or remapped for power on Eu3? ... and as said you'll have to save the injector codes

I am not sure what one it’s mapped to how would I find that out? Also I’ve been told I would need a do something with a wire or is that incorrect.

You dont need to do anything with any wire as long as the fuel map in the NNN ECU is for Eu2 engine and if it's not then it's not good for you, if the remapped ECU was removed from a Eu3 engine forget about it.

what’s the best way to find out what engine it came from? The previous owner used it in his discovery 2 TD5

The car it come off was a 2002 and my car is a 2001 if that makes any odds?

Yes, that means that it was not factory fitted and that it's almost certain it is Eu3 cos that ECU is known to have problems with Eu2 fuel maps
