Hi
My cruise control and head lamp main beams all of a sudden failed. I went trough my 2007 Freelander 2 S manual, but was unable to identify a specific fuse dedicated to either one of the two (cruise control and main beams.) When the engin starts, the running lights work perfectly, but the main beams would not go on when the switch is flicked. The cruise control also stopped functioning same time. Is there someone out there with some advice please? I love my car - best LR ever made.

My defender has cruise control. I just wait till I get to a really steep downhill, put it in neutral and it drives itself all the way down

You'll be needing to download a manual.

There are free ones out there. I appear to have lost the link but If you google free LandRover Freelander2 manuals I'm sure you'll find one ;)

There is a single fuse for main beam but I cant remember off the top of my head where or if the cruise control fuse is anywhere near either.

Oh and

:welcome2:  :D :D :D

Thanks for all the responses (also for the funny ones!)
I will try and find the manual on the website, but will it have more info than the one in the cubby hole? I think a need a wiring diagram! There is a headlamp fuse in the fuse box underneath the "glove compartment", checked it and it is still fine - maybe it is for the running lights which are still working. There must be some fuse somewhere that controls the circuits to both the cruise control and the main beams (brights).

I found a complete manual wiring diagram the full monty. I did keep a link to it somewhere. I'll see if I can put it up in the morning.

If one o the mods is about I'll see if we can make it a sticky. It would be a useful tool for all freelander 2 owners ;)

Hmm link appears to have been removed .....

Fortunately I 'm pretty sure I downloaded the files to a memory stick ;)

Just need to remember where I put it

Might have to just pm the relevant bits rather than put a whole sticky up that may or may not contravene copyright laws
