Hi, anyone any ideas of the mpg you get on a v8 disco? Also on a 200tdi

I used to average 30 -32 mpg from my 93 200TDi. This was after i had it set up (or optimised as they call it) by Van Aaken. Before that it used to average slightly less than 30mpg.

200tdi's can range, it depends how you drive it, what you have done to it, etc etc... but as a wide range, look somewhere between 27-33mpg.

i know someone that gets about 8mpg out of his rangie v8  lol

I used to get anything from 19-26 from my 300tdi Auto. It really depends how you drive it but for economy i would go for a manual

tdi average about 30mpg.
my old RR with a v8 used to do 12mpg! around town. not much better on a long run either.

now you know why i sold it.

After several auto V8's and both manual & auto 300TDi's, overall mpg is exactly 17 V8 & 26 TDi, both figures logged over 1000 miles plus.
Up to around 5000 miles a year the V8 is cheaper, above that the diesel starts saving money, based on running older vehicles.

That sounds about right, will get get around 250-280 miles on a full tank with about 10-11ltrs left in the tank, not good if you want to safe money or the price hits over £1 per ltr lol.
:D

you all need to get da gaaaaas maaaaaaaaaaan.
get about 25 around town and 30/32 on a run(equivwlant to petrol prices) am paying 39.9 litre locally

Just come back in after filling the 300tdi with fuel, 650miles covered since Friday morning took 18.8 gallons =34.5mpg. That has been a mixture of legal limit on the motorway for 420miles, urban A roads and B roads for the remainder 230miles. I always use Shell or BP fuel as I have found Supermarket fuel to give between 10 to 15%.
