Hi All...in order to improve the wind noise from my drivers door, I'm trying to figure out how to move the striker plate in a couple of mm.

Any ideas?

Yes of course....but the bolts just sit back into their original position. In the end I drilled new ones.

They go into floating plates behind oversize holes to allow for adjustment. Not sure where you have drilled new holes......

rubber seals could be shot. With age they usually are. New one will make a big difference, as well as new hinges. It takes all 3 for a good seal,

Depending on how bad they are you could try to rejuvenate them using silicon lubricant from halfloods. i used it on an old mk1 mr2 and it worked a treat, basically soak a piece of kitchen towel with the silicon lube and apply to the seals. the seal absorb the silicon and swell, you may have to re apply several times. worth a try.
