Hi guys,

I have a 110 double cab that i want to mount some 6x9 speakers in MDF housings.
There is space behind the rear seats and wanted to ask if anyone has any suggestions on how i can mount the speakers securely in place?

Want to keep them off the floor just in case i get any water ingress!.

My other thought is to take of the rear headlining, screw some ply strips to the back and then mount the boxes on them.

Any thoughts, pics appreciated.

ive got two 6x9 plywood boxes screwed on my wheel "arches" in the boot, and two 10cm speekers rivited to the roof. I think youll find 6x9s too big for the roof. Might post some pictures.

What have you got in terms of space under the bench row?

I guess you could mount them on the sides of the roof in the second row, then at least they wont be in your way. If youve still got a roof liner then your snookered; unless you dont mind butchering it that is.

If you mount them in the roof make sure the magnet on the back isnt touching the roof!

I dont know how to upload pictures....but im sure uve figoured somthing out by now.
