it was meant to be a pre MOT check, not a proper MOt but oh well.

have 14 days or it will cost to re test.
 
get yer finger out and you could have it all sorted in a couple of easy days - mind you if you find the steering box is fecked you might have fun with that
 
well im at college all week so that could be an issue.
as far as i know all he said was that it was loose. wether that means its buggered i dunno.
 
Can't impound a car no matter how bad it is. Best he can do is report you to the police as you drive it away.
 
And from the mot station to have repairs carried out. Also if the old mot hasn't expired yet then it isn't a problem is it.
 
Fort the new mot rules meant that once theyd tested it it went straight on the old bills anpr jobbies.but i dont know squat
 
well the MOT station is at the top of my road so it aint far to drive it.
might have to take a few days off college to get it sorted, got no other way of getting in really.

it's not illegal to drive it DIRECTLY to a pre booked MOT or DIRECTLY to it's place of keeping - if you get stopped driving a MOT failure and usee the "i'm just off to the garage to get some parts" excuse you'll get done

there's a MOT/garage place near here that gets visits from plod asking for details of the recents fails

Tis all computerised but even if it did go on the APNR the chances of bumping into a patrol car are pretty slim nowadays.
 
but if yer driving it back to the place of keeping then you should be fine from what sean sez
 
another question, if the PAS box is nackered how much will it cost to replace, and how easy is it to do?
