This years mot has thrown up a few things including a broken spring so I'm replacing the lot. Should I be replacing the isolators at the same time ?

The other fun job is the swivel ball joints for which I'll be buying a removal tool of which there seem to be quite a few of varying price. Are there any particular tools which are better than others or should be avoided ?

Unless the metal ring is broken or the rubber perished (which is rare), you can reuse. Just give them a good clean, remove any rust and paint or spray.

I used this kit when I did mine. Just make sure you keep the screw thread well lubricated and you'll be OK.

Looks good, I got mine off "Wish" for much less money but it has fewer adaptors etc.

I have yet to do the job, but will do it after crimbo, so can let peeps know if it is any good.
Both beat the cr@p out of paying someone to do it!:):):).
Land Rover Monthly covered this job this month, reeely badly. They never mentioned the purgatory the job can be, nor did they say, "replace the seals at the same time", which borders on the criminal.:rolleyes:
