My P reg 4.6 has just failed the MOT for two reasons that I hope are interconnected. Just ahead of the rear box (single pipe, not double) there's a gaping hole in the exhaust, so it failed for that, also the Lambda reading was too high - 1.180 was the lowest.
I'm hoping that the new exhaust will decrease the Lambda to allow it to pass but I'm worried that the actual Lambda sensors might be playing up, any idea?
If it helps, the CO2 readings were 0.07% and 0.05% for each of the two fast idle tests.
Any thoughts would be appreciated
