Has anyone had any experience repairing corrosion to the inner front wheel arches on disco 2’s? have searched for replacements but come up short.

Any thoughts / comments would be greatly received.

Also has any changed the power steering box if so how did you bleed the system (if you need to?)

It'll bleed itself if you undo the bleed nipple while turning the steering from lock to lock.

Getting a decent box is half the battle - also, because I'm weedy, I found getting the new box into position a bit of a struggle, but it wasn't the worst job I've done!

Mr. Pye, you are not weedy, you own a LandRover. BTW Hiya.

get some sheet steel and fabricate the inner wings yourself. Just follow the contours of the excisting wing and make sure you go back to good metal to weld to. I had to replace/fabricate both front inner wings both sills inner and outer. boot floor, rear wheel arches where door closes and wheel arch under back end. Not to difficult to do just time consuming

Thats ok if you can weld, and have a welder and everything else. A tad easier said than done.

I welded up both my front inner wings before the mot and the testeer said I shouldnt have bothered, they can't fail them because they are just covers, not structural.

my misses disco failed mot on inner flitch plates/wings had them welded the guy used plate metal and moulded it to the inner wings as he said to replace them all the outer wings/lights/grill etc would need to be removed ! cost £300 mate off my dads !
