the steering seemed to wander a little when in a straight line ,but nothing apart from that,
i asked the mot guy to take a close long look at the steering because of the wandering ,i was thinking the damper or something ,but every thing was spot on apart from the joints
i was at the mot and he showed me how bad the joints where ,there was about 1cm of movement lol and now off i can see they where .......... i think they where the ones the car was made with 155000 miles ago so done good to be honest
and now ive done this side and know how to do them ,when i have more money i might as well do the other side too

1, Holes in chassis.........DONE!
2, Upper and Lower drivers side ball joints ........DONE!!!
3, (not on mot failure sheet,but front disks)..........DONE!!!!
4, Front passengers head light insecure.........DONE!!!!
5, High level brake light not working..........DONE!!!!
6, Number plate light,half not working..........DONE!!!!!!!
7, Passanger side brake light not working.......DONE!!!!

8, Windscreen washers not spraying water,
took the bottle off today,its cracked and has so much crap in the bottom it needs a new one!!! i tested the pumps they work (not sure if proper bottle as has 3 pumps fitted in it?
LL pumps work fine,well spin ,and after blowing down the pipes there ok to and not blocked so hopefully the cracks and crap in the bottle had stopped them working,will let you all know once i get a new one!!!!!!

Well done, its part of Land rover ownership that you have to keep welding them.
I am lucky as I have an excellent fabricator who welds them in his spare time and lives near me, I also have an excellent Land rover mechanic, so for what they charge its often easier to get them to do it as its a routine job to them

I agree, these two work for other people but fix them for friends at home, one of them and his mate really helped me out a few years ago as they got my old 4x4 through its MOT for the parts and a crate of beer as they didn't want to see me with out and I was skint, some very nice people in this world
