About to upgrade my 2001 defender dash. Have room for additional 2 guages. What is forum opinion on most useful additions here? Grateful for your thoughts.

dont think there are any ,either you will ignore them or spend your time staring and worrying, oil and coolant should be checked before you go on a journey

In this weather a thermometer to tell you exactly how cold it is inside the cabin. My previously perfect heater has returned to blowing luke warm just when I need it. Typical.

Clock, oil pressure, voltage, ammeter, clinometer, temperature, barometric pressure, wind speed and direction, altitude, range, offset, elevation ... Sorry, what are you shooting at?? :D

I would install a 101 P2 Water Level Meter that way I would know how much water had leaked into my Defender overnight, how much was in the footwell and how much was going to be dumped onto my lap when i turned right.

I take it that's a "don't bother" then! :D

Its been covered before that why your getting ****. :D

Try the search button at the top.

But my answer is, get a boost guage so you can see if your turbo is working. Some people fit a voltmeter (i have one on my split charge) so im not.

Friend of mine had 2 boost guages, 1 before the turbo and 1 after. oil pressure can be useful too.

Its basically each to there own. Whatever you feel will benefit you most.

Oh rev counter is a popular one too.

Thanks for that Big Ginga, On reflection, they are probably right. As james Martin said ""dont think there are any ,either you will ignore them or spend your time staring and worrying""
Will be putting in a split charge system, so that will cover the battery voltage monitor. :)
