Coasty,
I show you proof and still you whine... what do you want me to do, I'll
find you a video of a Rangie submerging and you still wont admit it.
Did you miss the pics of all the Jeeps stuck at the bottom of the
hill??
As to consumer reports, Im not calling them liars, just pointing to
facts, are you calling 4x4magazine a bunch of liars?? Does it matter??

Face facts, you are talking out of your butt about the jeeps, they
arent all that they are cracked up to be, I have shown you proof after
proof and if you need more I can send you more. I just dont think you
will ever grasp what the Rover is until you drive one.
And until that happens this arguement is pointless.

So the wrangler must also have a 400hp motor and be able to safely
break the 150 mph mark.. You see what I mean about the Jeeps, the dont
really build anything well...

Anything can get stuck and they all have.

HP has nothing to do with being off road capable or being able to width
stand severe abuse. Follow the link and you will see. You notice it is not

I have a 2002 Mitsubishi Montero Limited and after 4 years, 50,000 miles and
well over 5,000 miles of punishing desert back roads and trails it hasn't
got a single rattle and has had absolutely no problems. It's stock except
for the removal of a few parts for ground clearance and BF Goodrich TA/KO
tires. It climbs like a mountain goat and rides like a car on the highway.
It's pricey and only available with a V6 but it's quick on city streets and
can cruise all day at 80+ mph. It's a mid size but it has a large interior
payload capacity. It consistently wins at the Paris to Dakar rally, which is
the closest conditions to what I drive in the US southwest desert. This is
my second one and it gets my vote for the most reliable.

I agree. If you want a 4X4 for off road, they are hard to beat. I just
bought an 06 Nissan Frontier 4.0L that I am anxious to see how it
performs in the snow. The wife has an 05 Jeep GCL and it's awesome in
deep snow. Pricey however; both. Hell, what ain't these days?

Motor Trends best SUV for 2006
is the Nissan xterra.
was thinking of buying on,
but still looking around... havn't made my mind up yet..

Bwahahahahaha! Yeah, I 'member those. Mostly because I heard about the
problems they had. I knew a guy that owned one and he liked it; I
didn't.

The ex had one, it was just slightly less reliable than the ex.
