the bmw m62tub44 on the l322 converts to lpg very well, it doesn't have the nikasil liners that can be an issue with low sulphur fuels on the earlier m60/62 engines. The valve seats are hardened, but a flashlube system wouldn't go a miss to keep the valves and stems lubed up.

Nowt wrong with a decent lpg'd l322.....just keep up the maintenance just like any other range rover.

The pockets are not deep enough to purchase the jag engine version it's gonna be anywhere between a 52 plate and an 04 plate. BUT HEY I started with a 1995 P38 so even a 52 plate is a lot newer. LOL

HI Taxi man,

I have had a 150,000 mile 2004 4.4 BMW V8 on lpg (STAG system) for over 2 years and its been faultless. cost is 22-25p per mile (same as TD6 or equivalent to 27/8 MPG). Only extra cost is LPG svce at £100 per year.

the JAg engine is better as petrol only and not good for LPG as explained due to liner slippage.

so for the same cost per mile as a doozle I get the awesome V8 performance and sound!
