The Freelander makes a knocking / clunking noise on the drivers side when going over bumps.

Just wondering if anyone might be able to give me a pointer as to what to check so I can diagnose what needs doing.

Vehicle has 130k on it and it's a TD4

Thanks

Roll bar bush, visual examination
Drop link, remove one end and wriggle, check the ball joints for play.

s.ite land rover build quality, jeez i think im
going to throw the towel in on them.
It sound like you're having a bad run with your Landies at the mo. I don't think this can be put down to build quality - its a TD4 F1 - so its between 10 and 15 years old.

hi mate, yes you are right 12 year old freelander,127,000 miles
on the clock, disco v8 series 2 same mileage as above & i am
driving round in a neighbours renault megane, ive had seven
landys & the best one was a 1972 lightweight,it took me the
best part of 4 years to restore, but i loved it, only because it did
not have all the modern sh.te to add to things to do on it,maybe
i will knock the above 2 in & get a non complicated series one.
land rover take a bow for tc,hd,abs, srs & all the other useless
stuff over the years.

RANT OVER..
