Hi There,
I´m new to the forum and am taking part in an organised rally to Morroco. I have just done the event in Spring and will be taking part again in December this year. I have just got hold of a Discovery 1 300 tdi and am looking to improve the suspension - thinking of just changing all the springs and shocks for 40mm lift and probably terrafirma units - has any one else done this and got any recommendations. The journey will involve some tarmac work ( to get to Morroco ), followed by a mixture of off road tracks, some sand work - but nothing involving massive articulation. The event itself is for older vehicles in all shapes and sizes but having used a Disco already I prefer the idea of a 4x4 as I can still play with it at the weekends. If any one else is interested in joining the event let me know and I will tell you all about it. With regard to the suspension changes, the rally is not a race as such however you do have to maintain a good average speed over rough ground so I will need a system that will cope with this sort of driving style. Thanks in advance.
