Well i made it back from 4weeks travelling down to southern Morocco. With the drive across Spain it was around 3weeks in country where we managed to cover alot of mountains, desert, piste and tar. overall we covered 4350miles met alot of nice people including locals and a few overlanders who were all (lucky buggers) heading further south on longer haul trips. not much on the factual side just yet, but a few photos to get you started.

1st 2 are from FES, the dark one was taken during a storm at night looking over Algeria using a 1 minute exposure. couldnt seem to catch any of the lightning forks though. Camels and desert from Erg Chebbi mostly during sunrise. Deser piste was on our was to Tinerhir and mountain piste was up the Todra Gorge on our way to Imilchil

for the 4weeks it cost us £2000 which included the Portsmouth - Bilbao ferry, Algerciras - Seuta ferry, 3 nights of hotels in Spain, 3 nights auberge's in Maroc, every other night camping, all food/drink, some gifts and 4350miles worth of diesel.

Thats what i budgeted before we left and we hit it right on the nose on the return ferry. So 2k will get you around comfortably, obviously it can be done cheaper. Food is not as cheap as you may think, meat is expensive, but i cant go 4 weeks without it! camping is £3-5/night and fuel is around £0.50/Litre. I can give you the prices in Dirham's if its easier for you.

hope this helps.

No, its ok in £, thank you. £2000 is about 3000 euros, that's my budget to, for 4 weeks (Morocco, Mauritania and Mali)

Report is coming along, but its getting massive! it could be a book :D will prob only put it on my website rather than here. but here are a few more pics ive prepared.

mostly from the High Atlas region including the Todra and Dades Gorges where we drove some excellent pistes including a 3000m high Tizi. The nekob piste was also an excellent climb and great driving. The picture of me with the kids is before they hoped on the rocksliders and i gave them a lift 6km up the gorge  the pic of the other landy and toyota is where we ended up after a day out near Zagora... middle of nowhere is an understatement, great campspot. and finally the shipwreck. after beachdriving for a while this one came out of the mist, a great photo op im sure you will agree ;)

well there isnt much more on the photos, but i do have some vids. not sure how to post though.

That one was about a 15km beach drive south of Sidi Ifni on the atlantic coast. I wonder if you could see it on google earth?

anyway, there are dozens more further south, im surprised they havent been broken up for scrap. Plenty of bits out to sea too.

There are thousands of pics, but these are the best ones. Some others on my facebook. As my girlfriend said on our way down the dades gorge: "I am bored of nice scenery, I want to put my camera down!" :D
