Ok the albino porpoise (1993 defender 100)as it has been named has had a week of playing and now its time to put it to work.So has anyone got any experience of the following?

1. Fitting a mains inverter for power tools?
2. Fitting central locking?
3. Fitting electric windows?
4. Any ideas on making it easier for my 15yr old dog to get in and out of the back?

Oh and are the dash lights really this bad on all of the defenders?

And another one can i get a clock that fits in the dash where i have a space for another gauge?

right then, the mains inverter just wires in with heavy duty 2 core, central locking, pass, leccy windows, pass, old doggy, try a plank o wood, dash lights, yes, clock yes

Awesome speed in the replies so where can i source a clock and what can i do about the lights?

yer can normally find a clock on ebay fer about a tenner ish, as fer the dash lights, try one o them torches that yer stick on yer ead

4. Get one of the steps that bolt on to the chasis bearmach part no MTC3084 should help dog. At its age you might just need a wheelchair and tail lift for land rover. You will probably get all the other bits and bobs from you local L.rover breaker.Find him through yellow pages or the net.-----BB
