Hi I have just bought a 90 reg B525 HAU, does anyone know it's history. It has a roll cage , winch, lifted suspension and 200tdi conversion. Someone has spent some serious money on this in the past but the guy I bought it from left it covered in mud to rust.
My wife now calls it the money pit!!! Which is true of most old defenders me thinks.


I fell for the age old falsehood of buying cheap! Cost £1550 to buy but has cost the same again to get it through an mot. Oh dopey me!


So if anyone knows its origins I would appreciate the info, just out of interest.
 
Jesus h ****ing christ...that was a bargain. Rust or not...that is a bargain...stop moaning, grow a pair and shut the **** up.
 
I suggest this be moved to anything goes because this bloke needs a serious bollocking.

have to be bloody lucky to have the original owner on here or knowledge of it (even with all the members on here .
post some picys of it might jog someones memory ;)
 
The gearbox is making a grinding noise in 5th gear when coming on and off the power now! Is this serious!
