Hi everybody!

I'm Megan (or just Mog as most people call me :D), I'm from the Beautiful Lake District, living in the middle of nowhere, although i'm originally from the Peak District area.

After a year of trying to search for a good Defender, along with the steadily increasing prices and less Defenders hitting the market, I finally picked up my first Defender last Saturday (after a 6 and a half hour drive from West Lakes to West Sussex to go pick it up!).

And here she is, me and Daisy, my new Defender :)

Daisy is a 1991 200tdi Defender with Galv chassis, rock sliders, diff guards, steering guard etc, she has 200k miles on the clock, and has done for the last 4 MOT's :p So probably closer to 215-220K looking at what mileage has been put on previously before the broken speedo :D But she starts first time, no smoke and sounds and drives like a dream, even the gearbox feels good!! She was an absolute bargain, hence the 6 and a half hour drive to collect her, WORTH IT!

By the way, if anyone knows a good Garage and bodyshop in the Lakes, let me know because I need some work doing :D

I'm not new to Land Rovers by any means, when I was younger my dad had a 1979 Series 3 109, lots of smoke, no brakes and I use to count the lines on the road through the holes in the floor :p Not to mention the rivers that use to flow inside it when it was raining :D We later fitted in a Daihatsu engine in, it did make a big improvement (just not to the holes or the leaks!!).

He now has a shiny black TD5 110, bit of a difference :)

So once again, HI EVERYBODY!!

General forum is handy for landy info and chat! :)

But for max entertainment value have a look in Anything Goes! ;)

My best tip would be never eat or drink anything when you are reading the stuff in there! :D

Welcome to the forum, see you in the tratter section. There's enough tits on here as it is and some knobs[emoji2]

:welcome: if anyone gives you grief just slap'em about a bit but in the mean time put some decent wheels on yer Landy!

Thanks! It is indeed the Heritage landy colour :)

They did copy the jeep, and what makes you think they wouldn't copy the paint color

They didn't actually copy the jeep, which is why a landy don't look same as a Willys. What they did do was measure a jeep chassis all over before, err............designing theirs! ;)
