Not sure you should be calling me a chav with so little to go on. It's a bit like me calling you a thick tosspot?

That would be mild compared with some of the things I've been called on here. and the latter part would be close to the mark :D

Thanks for that Ebay link, thats exactly what i have been looking for. Wonder how much extra for the recovery eyes or is there a better way to get them?

Looks remarkably like a D1 to me, I thought this was a D2 related discussion.

I just clicked the D2 link on guardian's website for which they only list a D2 tubular bumper.

Not that it should bother me, but the op's original post DID contain the photo links as I looked at them this morning, so no editing went on there at all.

And why you guys have to worry about who spent what and "assume" somone is just chaving it up instead of using it is just beyond me, who cares either way ?

We all have different tastes, cost has NOTHING to do with it, it don't matter if its a £5, if in "your" opinion it looks ****e, then its a wasted fiver.....

You get what you pay for "imo", and the Devon stuff is pretty well respected.

I would like to hope that the bumpers gaurdian make stand up better than the powder coating on their rock sliders, coz that IS ****E!!

what fun you lot have been having!

ps my bumpers the best :D:D:D

I thought it was about how overpriced D4x4 are??

It int the amount that's been spent. it's how little he got for his money that ****ed me off & the thought that if left unchallenged other people might think that what he's advertising is actually good value. When in fact the same or better quality can be got foor a lot less money.

And overpriced and over egg'd.

Did ya know for instance that Their waffle boards are completely different to everyother set of waffle boards on the market? They are made specially for D4x4 to their own load ratings and specs and aren't flooring grids that have been cut to size like everyone elses?? & if you say differently they threaten you with legal action for libel  But they can't tell you what the specs are that they are made too  In short they are a bunch of lying ripping off ****ers

I think the D2 bumper discussion / alternatives products was thrown in there by others if you look back...

I'll have to disagree with that tbh.

Well,we all still have a "choice" don't we ;)

No idea on the in's and out of waffles tbh, but from reading posts by you in the past its clear you dont like them, which is fine as its your choice, but it's not to say "others" don't like D44 products.

the only dealings ive had with d44 was when me n me mate actually went to there premises, and he decided to buy a set of 5 simex tyres the same as i had.

so he had to pay the full wonga upfront, they said the tyres would be in and deliverd within 5 days..

lyin bastids 4 weeks later he got them
turned out wot they done is they wait as long as possible for as many orders as they can so they can get more in a container so cheaper carriage and the more tyres they buy prob the better price they get aswell, and did they pass the savings on,did they fook

imo there overpriced ripoff merchants, but some people love em.if you wanna spend your hard earned wonga with d44 then thats your choice

Foss
What bumper is that?? and how much if you dont miond me asking?
Brian

Ya wont be gettin one of them im afraid-Scorpion Racing (who went bust)...but it was a heap a few weeks ago as the powder coat fell off so i stripped it to bare metal & repainted it :D

I made my bumper using a length of 5mm thick 2" box steel, cut and re-welded the ends so they followed the lights, welded some brackets on the back and painted it.
Cost about £30 including paint and welding rods, was so happy with it i got some more and made the back bumper.

Not the best as there taken from my phone during the very busy (and sleepless) few days of changing the axles, brakes, suspension, gearbox and many other connected parts last week.

I'll get a pick of the back too, though its quite similar but we only cut one piece off each end and re-welded it, plus welded a couple of nuts to it and screwed in some tow rings.

Chris.
