Messing about with ideas for the rebuild. Will be putting on H/D bumpers but has anyone made or got a rear non-tubular H/D bumper without the endcaps? Every single non-tubular H/D bumper I've seen seems to have copied them into their design, but I wonder if they are really necessary if the bumper extends around the sides a little. I have seen the John Craddock jobbie at << DA5646 - One Piece Heavy - Duty Rear Bumper 4mm Steel Discovery 2 >> but it seems it's not available for a D1; are they totally incompatible?
