A while ago the exhaust on my '99 P38 DSE needed attention. My local spannerman has done a lot of work on all sorts of land rover derivatives and he suggested that he could convert the original twin exhaust pipes into a single one. I gave the go ahead and it seems to work OK, but I wonder if I'm losing much in the way of efficiency.
Not worried about high motorway speeds - got a beemer for that - but more for towing a trialler or a boat. Any opinions?

The double outlet is only for show, as long as the pipe size is correct, a single outlet should not have any adverse effect. If you are using just one original silencer box, it could be restricting the exhaust causing back pressure in the system.
