Can anyone recommend a mobile technician in North London or Hertfordshire, I think the starter motor needs replacing, looks like a bastard of a job to do yourself, with limited experience. Battery voltage is great and checked starter motor relay, is there anything else I could possibly look at first, much appreciated.

Sorry, I've never had one of those so I can't comment from firsthand experience. I hope someone will be along soon who does though.

Have you checked the engine earth strap, if they are anything like the l322`s they rot out, you can check it with a jump lead from the neg terminal to the engine.

Quick update, measured from neg terminal on battery to any point on the engine and chassis was open circuit. This main earth strap has rotten out, managed to get to it after battling with the wheel arch liner, what a **** place to attach an earth strap

I watched a video the other day on a car the dealers could not fix and that turned out to be a rotted earth strap of that type, the ones that are more like a battery cable seem to be better
Glad you got it sorted and probably a cheap fix to boot:)

Another quick update on the completed job, the earth strap disintegrated as soon as I disconnected it, so cut back the corroded braiding using a junior hacksaw, and used two cheap earth straps from another vehicle found on EBAY, to attach the main earth to the chassis, it’s not to clear in the photos but the main earth runs from behind the suspension strut/airbag and is very difficult to trace, anyway started first time, a great result.

The hardest part was wrestling with the wheel arch liner and front wheel arch trim as they both need to come off, to get to the earth strap, more than 10 wheel arch push clips and several screws holding it in place, didn’t worry too much about damaging the push clips, as they are very cheap to replace and easy to fit, hope this is useful.
