.. my p gasket is weaping .. is there any magic potion I can put in to seal the leak ... rather than replace p gasket . ?

A replacement p gasket is cheaper than the crap you pour in so why take the chance?

I agree that these magic fixes are just buying problems for the future,
Why don't you nip down and see Glen at Glasshouses and ask him for how much it would cost to do it right.

It's only about 8 bolts including removing the alternator

Yes .. it is better as you say to replace gasket .. it's just weaping at a time I'm doing alot of towing .. so need the motor .. I shall give glen a ring .. I forgot about them . There spitting distance from me .. cheers .. I did a p gasket my self last year .. enjoyed it .. till I snapped a bolt off .. .. while I'm here .. there's rumours of the new defender flying around here .. anyone seen it .. they say the army have one .. to see if the can break it .. but haven't yet ..

Having been stuck in the traffic in Harrogate menu times it's probably cheaper to use the main dealer in Doncaster
