I am wanting to upgrade the front seats in my S3 and been offered good deal on Mk4 golf gti seats but unsure if they will fit well enough. Has anyone had any luck with this??

I have fitted Volvo seats in my 2a, they are rather large (but comfy and are heated), it took a little bit of fiddling but they went in, sit a little high but worth the effort.
IMO anything is possible

iv,e had fiesta st seats/ astra gte seats in the 109.
know of a mate who has mr2 seats in his

My very first S3 had rover SD1 velor seat already fitted they was cumfy but sat too high so replaced them with std S3 seats

I'm looking at new seats for my 110.
The main issue seems to be the height of the replacement seats, ideally you seats with flat bases, i'm looking at saab/volvo/rover and some merc seats.

I've seen later Passat front and rear leather seats fitted in a Defender double cab, they looked like the sports seats from 2004-2010 model,as I had the same seats in my old Passat, they are quite narrow front seats and looked like Exmoor trim ones you would never know they were from a Passat unless you were told, only hassle would be either working out a way for the seat bases to be removed or a hinge to flip the seats forwards to gain access to the batt box etc.
