Is it ok to mix tyre brands front and rear? Have Pirelli Scorpion ST's all round at the moment - rears replaced a 3 months ago and now the fronts need changed too. Seen some Goodyear Wrangler HP's at a good price, but fear the consequences on a 1998 xedi!...
Would obviously have the new tyres moved to the rear though.

Wrong tyres breaks transmissions - seems to be the common thread. :5bwilly_nilly::

If we need the larger tyres on the rear (only a small amount larger e.g. part worn) then measuring the circumference of any pair of tyres (same type or different makes in pairs) and putting the smaller pair on the front should work ? :confused:
Anyone got any ideas about what difference in circumference should be ok?

Some while back there was discussion about the old Pirelli ST (225/55/17) being replaced by the STR and something like 4cm difference in circumference of new tyres of same sizes between ST & STR?
Anyone any thoughts? :pop2::pop2:
