At present i have 2 Dunlop M+S on the back both with decent tread on them, however on the front I have some Kuhmo tyres which arn't marked what they are. I would like to fit at some point AT all round but for the time being is there any reason why I couldn't have a mix of M+S on the front and AT on the rear, i'll then fit AT to front when they need changing.

Nope. There's no reason you can't. I used to run A/T's one one axle and M/T's on the other.

if your going to do it for a short time are you not best to have the mud's on the back ?

If you want a quieter ride have em on the back. If you want more traction offroad have em on the front.

Cheers guys, noise doesn't bother me I can turn the stereo up, I would rather have decent grip first. It won't be short time either as I only do a few hundred miles a month so they will last for ages.
