I know a chap who just removed his 2.5na in favour of a 200tdi.
He tells me his 2.5na is the military spec which is why it looks nothing like my 2.5na Sherpa. Infact he said it looks more like the 2.25 petrol.
Could it be he just had different engine altogether other than a 2.5na?

I did think about taking as a spare just because I could/

Military spec. Would that be a 13J engine then? Should be able to tell from the serial number. I'm looking for a 13j engine expert, as it happens :)

There's an ex-mil 2.5 in mine. It doesn't seem to have an engine number just a build plate and ,erm , what was the question?

S0 not a huge difference being a military spec 2.5na to that of the Sherpa. Decided not to bother taking it, theres a engines all other place gpoing as spares, and mine apart from a crackshaft oil seal is running sweet. Checked my milage and I average 100mile / month.

Where can I get a timing belt for the 15J (bearing in mind its a different number of teeth) and does anybod know the part number?

Not knowing whhen it was last done, it may be worth while doing.

I have an ex mil 2.5na in my series 3 the engine number should start 11j and the number is located on the block near the rocker cover at the bulkhead end of the engine.
