:confused: :confused: this milatary underseal is so difficult to get off can you tell me another way of removing it :) :) :) :)please:) :) :) :)
 
why do you wanna get it orf?
you could try parrafin on it as that disolves it pretty good but its messy
 
its better than paint fer rust protection. during ten years wiff them i nevva seen on ewith any rust on its chassis
 
stands to reason..it burns yer hands or any other body part it touches, so you wouldn't want to dip yer nob in it
 
you would be better just giving the lot a spray with a jet wash giving it a coat of hammerite waxoil where need be ane leave it be. Good stuck that underseal.
 
brake fluid as a cheap alternative? in with slob on this one, stick with the army barmy stuff. dont get many if any suffering from chassis rot and we are still running a few 1986's in the fleet.
 
thanks for the tips guys, I want to remove the underseal, as the wet has got under it in places, and rusted the chassis, so I thought i would get rid, red oxide it, and waxoyl
 
Not red oxide if I was you...;)

Brake fluid tis better in the brakes...:D

Like Slob said the black underseal protects best of all...:cool:

Also look under any car with a oil leak , shiney new metal underneath ...:cool:
 
I found that if you get an old wood chisel and hammer, when the underseal is cold like today, and chip at the underseal like you would a piece of wood then it shatters in large pieces leaving the solid shiney paint underneath.
Make sure you have goggles on and wear ear defenders the noise is deafening.
