I would be a bit worried getting that hot, with a new rad fitted they tend to run cool.Check for a duff thermostat [even if new]
To clear system of air, park on slight up hill and fill through radiator plug.

It is a brand new genuine item (Waxstat). but I will drop it out again and try it.

It is still cold on the drivers side and bottom, something to check after the thermostat?

No, I haven't, going to check the thermostat tomorrow (if it ever stops raining) and see how I get on from there.

Here are some photo's of the radiator and a leak in the pipe going towards the heater matrix, me thinks its now deffo a new radiator and pipework.
