I have been offered a great deal on Michelin Latitude tyres. However there are a few options, Tour, Cross, Alpin etc.

Anyone got any thoughts on the Michelin Latitude generally and which of its variants are best?

I put on 4 latitude tour hp , which is the road version , my freelander likes them , used them in snow and mud and not been stuck but having TC helps :)

Alpin is winter like Kizzeh says. I've got them for winter tires and I'm pleased with them. Also for greenlaning they were great.

(Now for summer I have Yokohama Geolandars AT)

had the cross's on mine for nearly 2years now. quiet, never stuck and still plenty of tread on them

How do you get on with them after 2 more years?

I have Pirelli scorpions on at the moment and I like them, but I shall soon need to buy some more and I fancy something with a bit more bite.
The missus Freelander has bf Goodrich AT all round and I was going to have a set of them but they sing a little bit.
My works truck has just been fitted with 4 Michelin latitude cross and I am quite impressed with the quietness of them considering the tread pattern.

How long did they/have they lasted? Did they wear funny at all? I have the older ird in mine with the different gear ratios and I am pretty sure that's why my tyres wear a bit odd. My wranglers before wore quite badley making the tyres noisey.

Should have sent this is a pm realy. Oh well typed it now!

I have latitude tour on all 4 corners I used to have goodyear wranglers on my old one but I think these latitudes are a bit quieter .but what ever you do ,do not mix them with syncrones

Sorry to hijack, how about Syncrones and Michelin 4x4s? I've got a pair of each ready to go on, but can probably get my hands on another pair of 4x4s if there's some big compatibility issue. Syncrones better front or back if I go ahead with the two pairs?

you'd have to measure the circumference of both types
and put the larger one's on the back

Synchrones and Latitudes are different rolling radius and this causes issues with the Freelander drivetrain

Best avoid altogether and go for 4 tyres of the same size/make/type
