Rite folks - first in a never ending stream of dumb questions...


can someone give me some idea of the dash layout (see attached pic) - the top rh switch has underneath it what looks like a clock logo - havent got a clue what it is or does, unless its a diesel heater:eek: - mine is a 2.5 petrol!

Does anyone have an owners manual (cd rom ok) I can beg, borrow or steal?

i think that switch turns the backlights off on yer dashboard when yer lights are on .
 
yeap it is the backligting i keep it on all the time as the backlight wont come on unless the headlights are on
 
anyone got a 3/4 tilt going spare;)

or a Mountney steering wheel boss fur a series?
or a battery clamp?

Does anyone know what the red light at the top of the cluster between the two guages in the middle does?
Mine is disconnected.

I've seen whatever's stuck in that hole do various things. On me current one it's a knob that resets the trip meter, on the dash I've bought to replace it it's an orange bulb. in me old III it was an additional main beam warning light.

Dunno what goes in there as standard or whether it just varies from model spec' to model spec' then gets adapted over the years. :confused:
