Hi.
I have a complete interior (half leather) from an MG ZT
My plan is to fit the front seats into the hippo.
Has anyone done this?or do I automatically assume that everyone would like to know how I get on with pictures and tales of woe!
Regards
Wayne

I would like to see the outcome as the ones in the FL 1 are not the best in the world, I dislike the fact that they can not adjust up or down, and was thinking of looking into this earlier this year but time seems to have ran way with other projects, so yes real interest here from one.

A very generous car breakers in Burton, Derbyshire called MG obsession.
They have everything for the 1.8 engines but usually only deal with MGF and MGTF new and used parts.

Going to have a go at this over the next few weeks.
I plan on taking photos, measurements and typing up a tutorial..... hopefully I will get them to fit without the use of the MIG Welder!

Guys.... bad bad news I'm afraid.
The height adjustment on the MG seats cannot be removed, and the subframes / sliding rails are made for a flat floor pan.
the freelander seats are specifically made to be bolted to an uneven floor pan, and the legs cannot be removed from the original seats without taking the original sliders.
I sat the MG seats on the floor pan of the car, and leveled them up using some wood, but the height of the seat was unbearable - maybe for a 4ft tall driver, but anyone about 5ft 2in has no chance of getting in - even if the subs are lowered to the ground...
even though I have postponed the sest upgrade, doesn;t mean I've quit....
I have to think about how I can get the rise and fall to work properly, as the Prop Tunnel causes a little bit of trouble.

I will post if / when I get them done, but at the moment, it's more trouble than firing up the grinder and mig welder is worth.
