Hello,

This is probably a long shot however if anyone has a metal box or knows where such a thing can be bought (as cheap as possible).

I need it to make a DIY powder coating oven - needs to be about the same size as this:

Unfortunately the Ikea cabinet used in that build does not seem to be sold any more

I am in the Peterborough area.

Search for Ammo boxes on eBay. I've got a few of them.

Cheers for looking, a locker would bit a bit too narrow for what I need it for - the material is right though.

Mark - Ammo boxes are a good idea - the problem being that I can only seem to find smaller ones that are made of metal.
This one is the right size but it is made out of wood: raf insulated cargo boxes ammo toy tool storage military surplus cool box | eBay
And these are good as well but they are made from resin, the powder coat cures at 180c so I am pretty sure they would melt http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ammo-box-...454?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item1c2be323f6

What about something like this:

Filing Cupboard

My mate used an old tumble dryer / washing machine chassis for something similar.

Just use your oven? :lol:

Or find an old freestanding leccy oven. Bet you can get one for less than the cost of a steel box and 2 decent heat guns

Also the oven is quite small in regards to actual internal capacity!
