so my boss has decided to px both t5 lwb transporters we have and get the Mercedes vito but the xlwb version he wouldn't get the 115 but ive managed to persuade him to get the 113 and not the 109 like he wanted .

anyone got one and can give a review of whether there any gd or should he just get 2 more t5s??

Just got rid of my lwb 54 plate, more than pleased with it, I now have an 11 plate xlwb 113 joy to drive nippy and will cruise at 80/90 if you want all day long. Air con blue tooth steering wheel control for everything , tells you when it needs a service , only problem is I had it two days and stoved the back door in on site. Equally happy with this one had it nearly a year not a problem. If you need to know anything specific let me know.

Vito's have rust built in at the factory.
Mate of mine has an 06 plate one and it's rotten as a pear.

You mentioned this once before, my 54 plate was completely rust free and I don't look after my vans.

never owned but have used many sprinters and vitos. hated the sprinters but liked the vitos.

we've got 3 Vito's and one sprinter at work. Have to say the Vito's are nice to drive but not comfy for long distances if you're over 6' tall as the seats don't go back far enough.

They are reliable though and the only one with any rust is the sprinter and that's 10yrs old iirc.

any van with a bulk head is a nightmare if 6ft plus but can say the t30 lwb transporter was a lovely bit of kit to drive

We've got a Peugeot boxer aswell and that's ok for distances as you're sat a lot more upright but it is infinitely less reliable than the mercs.

I had the early Vito MK1 110CDI, boy it would go but it was rotten as a peach.

Later models were much better a friend of mine has a 2006 111, steering isn't as nice as mine was but it was so much better body work wise.

If I needed a van again I would have a Vito in a flash but I would have to be a MK2 so I wouldn't have to worry about rust or injector issues the MK1 suffered with.

Im 6'3 and mine has a bulkhead never had an issue with seats or driving position.

wtf does iirc mean, seen it loads of times on here but cant work it out.

I have a LWB Sprinter, fine for the driver as you can move the seat forward a bit to get some recline on the backrest. Passenger seats are way too upright, not comfortable at all for long distances. One of my guys has a Vito, same problem.

We have a Vito at the office. Not very comfortable to drive on long journeys, driving position is very upright.

Also not been too keen on engines on the newer Merc vans. We have 2 sprinters and a Vito, Fully serviced by main stearlers, and they all sound very lumpy and have had no end of issues with them.

Edit: Looking at replacing the Vito with a Transporter.

about half an hour ago i drove a brand new( well i think its brand new) vw sport line automatic. was bloody lovely, super smooth and quick when you put the hammer down. mine had full leather annorl

Ive always liked VW though.
