Anyone seen any cloth ones near me?

I would like the leather, but figure they will be a nightmare expeditioning in the hot.

OK best I can work out is:

Seat movement
Grey +12v
Purple Earth

Lumbar support

Yellow/red stripe +12v
White/Yellow stripe Earth

The others are for the seat heater, seat belt etc.

Forgot to ask am i ok in cutting the air bag plugs off as far back as i can as i have heard that doing this could cause the air bag to go off is this true :)

I'd disconnect the plug shown below then you can do whatever you like with the one under the seat :)

1 Cover
2 Bolt
3 Side air bag module

Are nice one me and son are both off on Monday so mite have ago at fitting them or one at least :D

i've got these fitted to mine, but at the mo they are just wired straight onto the battery with an inline fuse, the heated bit is not connected as I don't know which wire it is, I also need to sort it so that they both work off a switch (may also investigate if the airbags are disconnected although the wires are cut back!!)

so any idea what colour the heater wire is?

thanks

mandy

ps i fitted both mine n cubby box on my own, nearly feckin killed me lol

Mandy I think it's

Blue +12v

But I can't find any mention of an earth, it may well use the earth from one of the other parts.

Hi Steve, just in the middle of fitting the driver's and trying to power up the seat, sorted with the above but how do i go about wiring the seat slider as it seems to be the only thing that doesn't work

You know the slider is on the same switch as the tilt/height? As far as I know they all use the same power source.

I'm a year behind but does anyone know this guy breaking rx8 I'd love some leather heated seats in mine

I found mine on ebay. Paid 110 and pi key them up. Welded some 40x40 box section to the bottoms and fitted them through the standard lr holes. Heated seats are awesome. I was sweating in my 90 off roading on Sat haha

Hi guys

We have just recently bought a pair of Mazda rx8 front seats to fit into our 1988 90, i don't have a problem in making them fit but struggling to work out the wiring to operate the drivers power seat, i know that the yellow plugs are for the air bags in the seats which i need to cut right back as they will not be used.

just thought as these seats seem to be the seat of choice at the mo but is there anyone out there who has actually fitted and wired these seats up into their truck who can tell me how i wire them into my 90.

i know its a big ask but i am not really good at reading wiring diagrams as the wiring diagrams for these seats look like a mine field
Mate check my thread out there's wiring instructions on there for all the colours.

Call alan 07816564282 if any seats needed he did these for me for 80 quid hes a nice bloke and breaks mazdas hes in dudley area midland heres his number if any of you want to ring him he posts too
