A few months ago I spotted mayo in my rocker cover, I hoped it was going to be condensation due to short journeys, cleaned the breather but it didn't work. CHG swap then, head off, took it to be skimmed, the engineer said it was "warped to feck" now I'm not too technical but I took it to be knackered. He was able to skim it and I refitted it using a composite gasket, all seemed OK but I noticed it was using water and sure enough the mayo was back. I re flushed the engine in the hope that it was water left in the system from last time but its not. My question is what else could be causing the mayo and water loss before I take the head of again? Could I have fitted a faulty gasket? Crack in the block? Thank you in advance.

if the head was warped it could have a fracture most cylinder head shops can pressure check them

have experienced something similer on a truck engine diesel engines not petrol .... to rule out the block and engine liners if installed you will have to remove the engine oil and sump ......then pressurerise the cooling system to minuplate boiling point for a period of time then monitor if there is any water entering the engine ..... could be a porous block engine may need to be turned over to change piston location .. as i have seen what cavitation can do to engine blocks and piston liners . .... its an oil cooler issiue the oil pressure is greater than the coolant pressure so oil enters the cooling system also head bolts as most head bolts are TTY bolts once use item and you cylinder head may not have the correct clamp down force
