does anyone know the actual maximum weight that a landrover discovery 2 td5 (auto) can tow? or pull? without imploding the gearbox?

if you have a manual with the motor it would be a good idea to read it

but a tdi would pull a house down

I don't know about a disco, but I have towed 17tons with a defender and my gearbox still works.

3.5 ton braked legally but **** loads in low lorrys etc try it if it breaks thats probably a little heavy the gearbox may get knackered but it wont implode unless your at the bottom of atlantic

one of landrovers slogans is there is no limit so surely if i break it then thats false advertising.

no it doesnt say you can tow the moon in the ads does it?
