he's 17.. have you any idea what a 17 yrolds bedroom looks like.. yukkk .. they have nooo sense at that age....i seen the state of the pots after he's washed em, nope... safer if i paint it, its gonna be parked outside my house
He will never learn like that. Let him paint it and pay for it twice or three times however long it takes to get it right, the best way to learn.

Hi, I painted mine back last year. Graphics have since been removed and modular wheels fitted. I used Black Gloss Coach Enamel and put it on with gloss roller. Very durable, always has a shine, just wash, no need to polish. Quite a few few people say it looks nice in black. Mine was green when I bought it, horrible. I have acouple of pics if ya wanna see. Just drop me a line.

As above - make him do it himself! By all means offer advice, but doing something is the only way to learn.
And also (as above!) - do it with a small gloss roller. Cans will cost an absolute fortune! Plus you'll have to mask everything off - it's just more hassle than it's worth. A roller will give a perfectly good finish, will be much cheaper to do, will make less mess, and is less hassle.

Hi peters877, could you post or send me some pics please?
Cheers!

I like the idea of painting mine myself; my 90 is green with the white roof and it has quite a few dents and scrathes.
Did you go through the whole process of sanding/priming it before hand?
I've read on other threads that people just paint it without proper preparation; I guess this would give quite a bad finish though?!
