Hi Folks
Just had an interesting experience...
Thought the brakes were binding on a drive... landy was braking by its self and the drums getting hot... could hear them squeeling slightly
Pulled over... everything locked up tight. Brake pedal didn't budge, it was solid stuck at the top and landy wouldn't move (forward or backward)
I jacked the corners up and tapped the drums with soft headed hammer. Appeared to clear it, but on the drive back it was getting worse again and brake pedal got stiffer again.
I am now thinking that something is not releasing the brakes correctly.
I am fairly sure the shoes are adjusted correctly, have rechecked them.
I think it has something to do with the master cylinder, looking in the haynes manual... could my piston spring have snapped ?? or pushrod adjusted wrong ?
Just want to get some opinions in before I start taking it apart.
Thanks in advance.
