Had it since august, spent £700 on diagnosing a wiring problem affecting my indicators and windows, 240 on a gearbox oil change, 140 on a service, sorted my immobiliser problem by simply switching the alarm system off with a hawkeye AND.. passed its MOT last week, woohoo

So now I know I have it for at least another year, can safely spend some money on it

Can you "remap" the td5? Convinced it's got more to give than it currently does

Does it being an auto affect anything?is there something you can buy yourself or need to go into a mechanic?

Alive tuning can send you a remap file & it can be uploaded with a nanocom which you can borrow off me
if you want.
Early discos 10p engines up to 2001 can not be read through the obd port & the ecu must be sent away to get done.

Short answer, yea, anything with a map can be remapped one way or another. We can give you more info if you tell us what year/ engine type (10p or 15p) your engine is. The earlier ones need the existing unremapable chip replacing, the later ones can be rewritten, I think. All it takes is money! Search on the forum and ye will find!

Update yourinfo in your profile and tell us more!

You obviously aren't scared of spending money on getting others to do the work for you. (Gearbox oil change, £240 OUCH!!!:eek::eek::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:)

Im down at loch Lomond side, the 15p has a water cooled egr valve 10p just a flexi.

Someone else will no doubt be along with other differences.:)
