Could anyone please point me in the right direction as I’m wanting to change my map sensor

On a TD4 yes if so you can remove it and clean it with some carb cleaner, but always best to clean the manifold and EGR at the same time, I have just done four manifolds ready for our meets starting this weekend.

Hi JimJamer, what exactly are you asking? is it where the MAP is, how to replace it? best place for a new one?

Yes am looking to replace it then clean current one for a spare, just don’t know where it is I what bits I need to disconnect to get to it

Yes I’m looking to clean all of that this weekend as I’ve got my self a replacement part so can clean one whilst still keeping it mobile, I just don’t know where to locate certain parts under the bonnet
 
map sensor is below the engine cover
on the side of the intake manifold

You'll need to unplug the MAP sensor to remove the inlet manifold. There's little point in replacing the MAP unless you're cleaning out the manifold at the same time.
 
Brilliant thanks, just what I needed to see this is of great help, the only other thing I’ve got to locate is the boost control valve as I’ve gor a code come up P1E30. Thanks
 
I presume you mean for the turbo.

If you look through the cut out in the drivers side inner wing you will see it. Small black thing with 3 small (6-8mm) pipes going to it
 
Thanks all I’ve got to the bottom of it all was an electrical fault so now I just need to find out where I can get a new plug from as need to splice some cables together. I’ve done a temporary repair with an electrical connection block

I managed to find the loom in my shed, therefore I took the opportunity to dissect it so each plug and connection was separate, the plug you are after is the Turbocharger boost temperature sensor right< with two wires red/white brown/grey. as opposed to the turbo boost pressure sensor, (MAP) which as three wires connected to it.

That's a 2 pin Female Junior Power Timer Connector Plug. They are common and cheap. But make sure you get all the plug components needed. Amazon have them for about £5 for the kit.;)
