My 300tdi on a 94 l plate has manual lights that need adjusting.how and what height do they need to be for mot.

Any help

Easiest way is drive up to a fence/wall and mark where they shine when on dip beam, reverse back about 10 feet and put them on full beam and adjust so the top of the beam pattern is on the mark you made. Have checked all my cars like that and never had a problem.

The headlamps beam should be adjusted to be correctly set in the position '0' and should progressively lower in postions 1, 2 etc with your leveling system.

Just let the MOT center do it, for the cost of a few quid they have the proper equipment. Remember headlight angles on big vehicles are important as your lights are alot higher than most, we all hate being blinded by misaligned lights!!
