looking for opinions, on my “new to me” 2003 TD5 disco I noticed today there are two nuts missing off the end of the exhaust manifold. I don’t know whether to chance it and put two nuts on it or turn it into a day job of breaking the studs etc, skimming the manifold and re-fitting - while it’s reasonably accessible with the turbo off. It was a bit of a pain on the Defender recently and this has all the air con stuff in the way too. Pic attached, looks like it’s been like it a while.

I'd just replace the nuts. It's not that much more work to take the turbo off again if you have problems later.
 
I’ve took it off and got it skimmed. I guessed as the nuts had been off some time it has probably warped anyway
 
did this for the third time recently. But this time I have fitted the stud kit from allisport with the expansion pieces.. so far so good
