I seem to be in a minority as I too prefer the plastic grille and that is what I fitting to mine

.....Ive just removed my after market Rocky Mountain Grill https://parabolicsprings.com/products.html. Thought it looked better with the old plastic one back on :)

I am not a fan of those as they are flat rather than wire. I find the same thing with the defender grills I prefer the plastic to the flat cut out ones.

I like the plastic grille.

Nothing wrong with the plastic ones, for me it was just trying to get the vehicle to be as close as possible to the childhood caricature of what a land rover "should" be that I had always wanted. I was "stuck" with this vehicle as it came up at the right price but everything else could be changed to fit, I still have the original parts and it was not butchered to convert so would be easy enough to put back to standard. For me it is the same as the canvas roof, it was what childhood me thought all land rovers had so it is what I put on mine. If it was the faded pale blue all land rovers are it would be just as I imagined as a 10 year old.

Perfect. My first series 3 set my expectations. I understand.

But I've a 101 and a lightweight too, so I'm happy with both.

Not so keen on defender grills, but they can work on 90 & 110s.
