The bolts were from the farm supply shop, think the shear limit is like 6t or something high like that

sorry that was surpost to have your bumper pic included, which reminds me I have'nt watched Mad Max for a while :hippie:

i'll post some pics of mine when its done, shouldn't be more than a few hours just gotta work pout how to mount it and weld in some recovery rings for now untill i get a winch then it shall be modified ;)

Made, fully painted now, tested in a low speed collision and waiting for the winch to arrive so I can cut off the light mount on the top, fit the winch in and cut a hole in the front for the fairlead roller and rope to run through

What gauge plate did you use ? I think I would of made something a bit smaller but then when you make your own you make it how you like. what ever floats your boat or in your case sinks your sub.

This is my bumper made out of 2mm cost me about £6 and about an hour to make.

So... wear a mask under me welding helmet then?

Gonna have this issue anyhow, as I've bought boot floor sides from YRM... which are Zintek panels... big fan in the back doorway to aid ventilation, methinks...

Never mind all the gobbly gook about welding galvanised stuff:rolleyes:, I've heard all that ****e before....grind it off where you're gonna weld, never mind inside, keep your head out of the fumes (they won't kill you!!), and the job will be a good'un...
I've welded loads of the crap over the years, never been sick or had to drink milk:rolleyes::eek:

And..................I'm not dead, yet...
Sorted..:D:D

Not sure all I know is it was the same stuff the guys used to build someone else a winch bumper and repair the chassis on his unimog
