Hi guys help required please. My 02 l322 petrol is at a friends house stuck with a large problem which I could definitely do with help. Drove there and parked up. Got out and as walking away noticed rear brake lights were on. Unlocked car and put key in ignition but would not turn. Have removed negative battery and then replaced and tried the 1 turn but nothing. Have removed steering column fuse and still nothing. All things seem to work radio windows lights satnav ect but still key won’t turn . Car is 10 miles from home and I have to move it tomorrow. If the AA can not recover it can I flat tow it or tow it with just the rear wheels down that far if I remove the front prop. Any help would be appreciated

You can tow it 'flat' if you either remove a fuse or insert a fuse, I cannot remember which but it's in the handbook.

The fuse is to put the transfer case in neutral. With a flat battery that might not work and trash the auto box.
I'd be testing the battery first!

Battery if fine almost new and I know that’s not the issue i thought you could remove a fuse to unlock the transfer box but has the ignition got to be on when towing

Is it the correct battery? Depending on trim , the incorrect battery can die very quickly.

Who want to drive the tow L322 with no brake booster will be fun.
Youll need a fearless Landy nutter like me for that or a complete idiot like me :D

Cheers
