Man am I a happy bunny (small furry earth animal to you Ming).
I'm happy 'cos 1) the posts saying that i've done the right thing. ;-0
and 2) the performance is a definate improvement to low-down grunt (around the 2-3k RPM level) and the fuel econ is about 15% better...aye...you do the maths and work out how long it will pay me back...as I can't be arsed - but i'll assume it's in two tnks with the price of DERV being over £250 a litre here in Somerset (actually £1 er litre atm).
Gotta say thanks to a guy on the Dorchester bypass in his 02 TD4 who happened to test 50-70 times with me ;-) Mine ended up being about 0.75-1.5 of a second quicker than his...I know it's not an exact science - but he did ask for details of the MAFAM I got from Ron.
Anyways...certainly happy with my £50 purchase. Fairly easy to fit too - considering i'm no techie when it comes to cars. But I had it fitted and tested in under an hour.
I'll try and do some time tests soon which i'll post up...E.g. 30-50 in 3rd, etc...
