Has any one tried the maf cleaner which you can buy from demon tuning, does it make any difference or is it a waste of time trying to clean the maf.

Assuming a petrol engine then the only thing worth cleaning on the intake would be the throttle butterfly in the throttle body. Any deposits in there can give a flucuanting idle and 'sticky' throttle response.
 
Still can't see what there is to clean in a MAF. :)

IIRC the TD4 is a 'hot wire' system for the air flow.
