I've got mate working on a few ideas for stickers, he owns a vinyl printer that cuts out any shape writing etc etc.

He's done loads of different bumper stickers and fancy stuff for weddings.
At present he's making me up a green oval in vinyl and trying cover the from with vinyl resin to sort of replicate the landy badge but in different colours and styles.

I could run something like this by him

Sounds good. I was thinking it would be nice if it could be cut around the edge of the logo. I like the idea of a bumper sticker size.

It would be good to get an idea of price though.

Unfortunately that design does not lend itself too well to cut vinyl. It looks rather intricate due to the web address being so small and uses some odd colours. It would be better to have it solvent printed as it would be identical in every way, but the downside to that is that they will only last 2-12 months before fading due to the effects of UV. Vinyl will last 5-7 years but is not so good for detail stuff. Having said that, what dimensions are we talking? the bigger the better!
I can make up a prototype in vinyl although the colours shall be different on the globe (limited to standard colours). cost and time would be 5x that of a single colour decal as it is in essence 5 different decals hand layered, so it wouldn't be very cheap (material costs alone would be in the region of £1.50-£2 each, then time on top of that), but the quality and durability would be very good. If the artwork exists in vector format that would be a bonus so I wouldn't have to hand trace it

What got me thinking was seeing you guys do the rear screen on someone's (was it Pauls) with yer logo.

Thats why I wondered about something large enough to see and with lines fine enough not to restrict the vision annoyingly.

I don't mind paying 2 or 3 times over to get it right if you fancy having a play :)

I think thats a cracking design.
Can we get issued with blue forage caps with the logo on to, like the thunderbirds had? For rescuing purposes like:D

I dont see that would be to hard to print, I had a load of these made up a few years back and the design on the left needed a lot of cutting but came out ok....

Im with you BB, is it just a single colour out line type of thing? that would be easier to be honest. I do some LR logo with the oval just being a thin line outline with land rover writen in the middle, they look more stylish in my opinion and peeps seem to ask for them more than the solid full colour ones. Ill have a play arround and see what i can come up with, could be next week before i get to cut vinyl mind, the cutter and pc are burried deep at the back of the garage. once ive done a few ill let you know and send a couple of samples to see what you think.
